The presentation that I found most
interesting was the reports presentation. I found this presentation interesting
because it showed what everyone was doing and they also showed the advancement
in the different presentation groups throughout the week. This showed me how
everyone advanced and made different decisions throughout the weeks of the
course. Another thing that I liked about their presentation was the fact that
they took pictures to show everyone working. A couple things that I wish my
group had done a little different is spend a little more time working on the
presentation of the projects. In my experience of preparing for this was
working with my groups to prepare the final project, create the PowerPoint
presentation, and also practicing the presentation to make sure that everyone
had their part down. Although there were some minor problems we all seem to
come together and get the job done. The skills and knowledge that I will be able to take from this experience
and use it in my future career are that it will broaden my
perspectives and enhances critical thinking skills, improve my interpersonal
and human relation skills which are increasingly viewed as the most important
skills in achieving success in professional and personal circles, provides
guidance and experience for future career choice, provide experience which can be used on my resume and future
college applications, and it develops my network of support and professional
contacts.

Dear: Dr. Rendell
On November 23, 2013, it
was brought to my attention that the school is cutting the sports program in
the year of 2014.
Unfortunately,
this is not fair for the children who participate in these sports programs and
who also look forward to playing as well as getting the exercise they need.
This is also a problem for the students who have played three years and is now
coming into their senior year and need the sports program to receive
scholarships to a good college. I am disappointed because my child happens to
be one of those students that will be a senior in 2014 and I rather not change
schools because he might not receive the same attention academically as well as
a fair shot in another schools sports program.
To resolve
the problem, I would appreciate you into consideration what this will do to
these kids especially the ones whose parents cannot afford to move their kids
to another school. I would love to arrange a meeting with the school officials
to see if this problem can be handled in the best way possible that will
benefit everyone involved.
I look
forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem and will wait until January 1, 2014 making a decision. Please contact me at the
above address or by phone at 810-395-9955.
Sincerely,
Eric Keels

Bog #7
This weeks blog is a free writing blog so I am going to just talk a little bit about my online classes. I know that online classes are a little more work for the simple fact that you can sit in the comfort of your own home and work comfortably but some of these courses can just have to much work to do. I made the brilliant mistake of taking two online classes at the same time and boy is it hard. I also have a in seat class but there I can talk to my teacher directly In the online classes I have to wait to hear word back from the instructor and that may take up to a day this is very frustrating. I also have two online team projects and this is very difficult more challenging than getting the instructor to respond. It is so hard trying to set dates to meet up with classmates I am just at my wits end and stressing very bad. Although I am getting threw it this was a very much well lesson learned not to take more than one online class at a time.

Blog #6
Service-Learning is
a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service
with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic
responsibility, and strengthen communities. Service learning offers a
unique opportunity for America's young people to get involved with their
communities. This helps them to become actively contributing citizens and
community members through the service they perform. Threw service learning students
can build character and become active participants as they work with others in
their school and community to create service projects in areas like education
and environment. Service
learning offers all its participants a chance to take part in the active
education of youth while addressing the concerns, needs, and hopes of
communities. My expectations for this project is to simply help and provide my
services wherever it is needed to help Big Brothers and Big Sisters
organization any way possible. I will also use this experience as a learning
tool to help me acquire knowledge about things that I may not know. It will
give me a chance to work in a group environment and also work with an
organization that’s gives back so much to the community. The skills and
knowledge that I will be able to take from this experience and use it in my
future career are that it will broaden my perspectives and enhances critical thinking skills, improve my
interpersonal and human relation skills which are increasingly viewed as the
most important skills in achieving success in professional and personal circles,
provides guidance and experience for future career choice, provide experience which can be used on my
resume and future college applications, and it develops my network of support
and professional contacts.

Instructions
For this week’s blog on instructions I chose a set of
instructions on how to assemble a multi-speed bicycle from the huffy bicycle
website. The document was written in three languages which were English, French,
and Spanish. The document is in black and white and is generally easy to read
because all the languages are side by side in a column forum. The headings are
bold and there are also warning labels to let you know to be careful when
opening certain nuts and bolts so that you do not lose anything. There are also
pictures to guide you through the instructions. The pictures show you the tools
that you will need as well as the parts of the bicycle that you will be putting
together. The only thing that I think they could have improved on is showing pictures
of all the parts of the bicycle and the name of what the part was this would have been very helpful to the person assembling the bicycle.

Identity
Developing my online reputation was very new to me. I thought that before doing this it would be a very easy task to complete but it was actually harder than I thought. Although I learned a lot of things about these different websites it was hard for me to figure everything out. I am still trying to figure out how to get my profiles all the way complete. If anyone can help me please help me thanks.
